Kidsville Playtown is a mini size city for kids with play houses including a Clinic, Theater with dress up costumes, Beauty Parlor, Jail, Fire Station, Dinosaur Mountain, Castle, climbing wall, ride on cars, 2 slides, and much more to explore! For the Babies we have created Babiesville! A section just for the wee ones. Age appropriate fun, learning toys in a jungle atmosphere. Kidsville Playtown offers a social, interactive environment for children ages 6 months to 10 years old. Kidsville has play structures that allow your children to use their imaginations as well as get exercise. The hardest part will be getting your child to leave! Parents...At Kidsville parents are important too! We believe that a play place for children can be fun for parents as well. We do our best to create an "at home" environment. That is why we have structured the town around a central park area with couches and T.V.'s where parents can relax, enjoy refreshments from our snack bar, chat with friends, scrapbook, read, or shop online all while maintaining a view or their busy children. Safety...Kidsville is a safe and clean environment with daily disinfection of all toys and ongoing safety checks and maintenance of all structures. Please note: Socks are required for everyone. We sell them for $2/pair if you forget.

Little City, Little People, Big Imaginations

Behind our doors lies a little city powered by your child's imagination...

Take a stroll down Main Street and stop in at the Kidsville Theater to dress up like a star and put on a show on center stage. Sing, dance, or act out your own play or puppet show for Mom and Dad. Then, hop next door to the local schoolhouse to be a student or teacher. Read books, write on the chalkboard, put together puzzles, or string beads until school lets out. Next, head over to the Kidsville Pet Store to groom a plush cat or nurse a sick pretend puppy back to health. By now, if you're tired of walking, grab a car for your next destination. Stop at the Kidsville Gas Station for a fill up and a car wash. While in your car, if you feel the urge, drive through the Kidsville Pizza Parlor and grab a tasty pizza or park the car and cruise inside to place an order from the menu. If sitting is not your style, then grab an apron and hop in the kitchen to become a 4-star pizza chef.

Now, if you are in the mood for building, Construction Junction is the place for you. This is the town's workshop where you can build with blocks, operate a crane or fix things with tools. After all that hard work, head home to 123 Imagination Avenue to watch TV in the living room, take care of the baby, prepare a snack, or do household chores. While you are there, you may realize that you need some things from the store. It's not a problem at Kidsville, just head down the street to the local market to shop or work behind the register. Just down the road from the market is the Kidsville Salon and Day Spa. Come in for a cup of tea, a new hairstyle, a manicure or makeover.

If it is action your are looking for, travel across town to Playtime Place where you can be a fire fighter, police officer, doctor or nurse in a resident hospital and Rescue Station. Climb in the fire engine and call in an emergency or try on a doctors' coat and check a patient's temperature, eye sight, and reflexes. All rescue heroes need to stay in shape and Kidsville has just the thing for those hard working boys and girls.

Don't forget to take a trip back in time by visiting our Royal Castle and Dinosaur Mountain. Both new features that include BIG fun!

Babiesville...

Babies and tots also have a special play area designed just for them. Babiesville is a separate enclosed play area for children two and under featuring padded steps and tunnels for cruising and crawling, age appropriate toys and books, soft blocks and much more!!

Now there is another reason to head down to Kidsville Playtown!!! Classes that will teach your babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers valuable tools to keep their minds stimulated and bodies healthy. Our classes will teach key social, emotional and intellectual skills that your child will be able to use in future social environments. Some of the essential tools they will learn will include the four “C’s”; Communication, Cooperation, Confidence and Curiosity. The four “C’s” are core values for every child to learn to become the best they can be! These tools will be taught in the form of play. Keeping your child attentive and excited about learning! Courses will include; Musical Mondays, Alphabet Soup, Wacky Art, Learning Labs and Lil Chefs. These are age appropriate for ages 0-5. We are always open to new ideas for classes! Please let us know if there is a class you may be interested in that we might not offer quite yet. Our classes are taught by credentialed or on their way to being credentialed teachers. Jimmy F.San Diego, CA1/5/2012Facts: I had my daughters 5-year old party there. We had a total 12-kids attend and about 15 parents. We booked the party about a month in advance never having stepped in the place. The party room was reserved for 2-hours but guests/children could stay after as long as they wanted in the play area after. We had the option of decorating ourselves, but did the math and figured the time and cost was better served by paying $50 for them to decorate. The food option thru them was limited to purchasing pizza from their chosen vendor. We decided to bring our own food in warmer trays. (the only restriction for bringing your own food was you could not bring pizza) They did have a microwave available they stated, though we didn't utilize it. Opinion: The party was a total success. I think the most important thing about parties is that the kids have fun, and that was a no-brainer. The place had a larger play area then we assumed. It basically had different little "houses" that were different social settings, e.g. a hospital, a firehouse, school, etc. They also have a couple of slides, toys that match the settings, and clothes to dress up for the kids. My daughter loves pretending and was stuck playing a doctor for quit a while. The decorations were pretty nice, tinkerbell theme. When we arrived the room was all set up with 12 spots for the children at a table and chairs surrounding for the parents. Tinkerbell came by and led a scavenger hunt which gave us an opportunity to gather up the kids so they could eat and sing happy birthday. All of the kids had fun in the place and were running around. It is a place for kids, and all places for kids get pretty crazy, so when you see other posts that say "people need to control there kids," it's like, cmon, like you've never been to a chuck e cheese or even the park? The place was clean, the kids had fun, the parents got to relax while their kids played (they actually had a football game on tv that some of the dads got to watch). We didn't have any youngsters (under 2), but they had a pretty cool lil designated place for them also. The place does have individual toys, so yes, the toys are going to get spread around on the floor (wow, another "suprise"). The place was safe, no kids could get out of the two gates they had. The main plus for my wife and I was that the staff was utterly nice and helpful. When dealing with parents I know that people expect a lot and want what they pay for. At Kidsville the staff seemed genuinely caring that everything was going well. To be honest, at most places you are renting the space, not the staff. But at least here the staff does engage you and help. They set up for us, helped us clean, and in between Tinkerbell came to sing happy birthday to my daughter, led the scavenger hunt, and basically played around.The one kinda negative was that the rooms were not that large. If we had any more parents that came it would have been crowded if we were all in the room at the same time. But there was only one point of about 20 minutes out of the two hours that all the kids were in the room; most of the time they were out playing, and the parents could be in the room or outside playing/watching the kids.Overall, to be honest, $400 on party is about right. If you have a party at a park or something, with a jumper, entertainment, food, set-up, etc. it is going to run you over $400 and with a LOT more headache. Although we brought our own food it was still well worth it and would recommend it to anybody in the area. One simple phone call, they set it all up for you, and no-clean up or set-up. Can't really ask for much more then that. I would recommend going with your kids for the day, pay the price to play there, and see if it is something they would like (it probably will be). They've played here before, but recently we used them for Parents Night Out, and even though we knew they'd have fun, they were so excited to be there that they didn't even hug or kiss us goodbye! Within a minute they put on their name tags, put their shoes away, I opened the gate, and they ran in there! When we arrived, the kids couldn't stop going on about all the stuff they did, then asked when they could come again! We'll definitely be back for regular playtime, and Parents Night Out. Oh, and the staff is great (and friendly), someone is always picking up toys and putting them where they go, restrooms are clean as well. Being able to bring our own food is a plus! Just want to let everyone know that no place is perfect..There's always going to be a bad experience here and there but focusing on a positive side, this place is great for kids. Today was my first day hanging out here with my 2 yr old daughter and 3 1/2 yr old son and they loved it. They didn't want to leave this place. I was surprised about the socks thing but I have no complaint. I purchased 3 pairs but it's all worth it. Everywhere I go I run into parents not paying attention as much as they're suppose to, germs everywhere, kids hitting other kids, etc but as long as I focus on my own kids and make sure they having a great time, it's definitely worth being there. I been looking for a place to hang out with my kids since we moved here 3 months ago and I finally found it. Whoever came up with this idea definitely deserves something great. I hope that people will see all the positive things about this place and whoever reads this comment, please try it out and I hope you will have the same fun experience as my kids and I did.Melissa T. Oceanside, CA11/17/2011Upon arriving in Oceanside from Colorado my husband and I were super stressed from the move, hadn't found a preschool, and desperate for some alone time.I saw Kidsville at a trip to the mall and tried to book the parents night out for that evening but it was full. I got on the wait list and they called me that afternoon to let me know they had a cancellation.We were nervous, but Hillary at the front was very sweet and helpful and Ivy took to her immediately. We watched from the window for a while and she seemed to be having a blast so finally we decided to go out and have fun. When we came to pick her up she didn't want to leave and the staff gave me a complete run-down of her night. The next week my husband was out of town but I dropped her off again because she had had so much fun, the staff recognized her and she ran right to them. While I was out shopping my purse was stolen, along with my keys. I called Kidsville because it was half an hour before they closed. Hillary told me not to worry, they would keep Ivy as long as I needed and if worse came to worst they would pick me up and take us home. Fortunately it did not come to that, but THAT kind of over and above attitude doesn't grow on trees.Since then my daughter has gone every single Saturday night to PNO, she adores the entire staff and when she walks in everyone announces "Ivy's here! We have been waiting for you!". I am so grateful to them and impressed that such young people are so very dedicated to making kids happy.EDIT: I'd give it five stars but Yelp filters all five star reviews to the bottom, So consider this 5 stars! Lindsay S.Carlsbad, CA11/15/2011My two kids Josh and Aiden had so much this weekend. Josh loves going late on saturday nights to have fun at parents night out. Aiden is only 9 months so he gets in free which is a plus, but we just hang out in babiesville anyways. Kidsville gives me time to relax and spend time with my kids without having to worry what they are into. I also don't have to pick up after them. There cleaners are so friendly and clean up constantly. poor guys. Coming back soon.opps i forgot to mention the hectic fun trick or treating party. it was so much fun. They had princesses, superheros, and big headed characters running around playing with the kids taking pictures for 2 hours. At the end of the night each character had there own little house in which the kids visited and got their bags full of candy and goodies. Nicole N.Escondido, CA11/15/2011I had my sons 1st birthday there this last weekend, everyone was super helpful, everything was VERY clean, the birthday room was set up and ready- we didn't have to do all the payments or paperwork the end which was nice....all my guests said this was the best kids bday they have ever been to- success! Tania T.Oceanside, CA11/12/2011I visit kidsville frequently I inested in a membership for my 2 girls they love it they can spend hours and their only argument is when I say it is time to go home. I love beig able to realx and know my kids are confined and they scatter and play and I hardly hear from them for themost part the other kids have never caused my kids any issues but kid will be kids whether at kidsville or the park or anywhere you go and kids will have confrontations sometimes I have had to break up a few but thats normal. The staff has always been super friendly and very helpful when ive had questions or concerns. Ilove the place more when my kids wake up everyday asking if we can go to kidsville. I would recommend kidsville to everyone its been nothing but great for my kids and myself for that matter.Summer M.San Diego, CA11/10/2011Ok so I've read some of these reviews... Is it really a big deal to wear socks? Is it a big deal if the worker goes on a break, there is other employees working. We recently went to a birthday party at this kids ills and it was fine.. The only complaint I would have is the air conditioning should be blasting considering the kids and parents are running around. Kidsville is not a daycare, the employees are not there to watch your kids. My kids are 10 & 8 years old although they are a little ol to be at Kidsville we were there for a birthday party and had a great time. The employee that was dressed As buzz lighter was great and kept the kids young and old entertained... I understand that people have complaints but you have too much time on your hands if your looking into court and penalty codes etc. it's was a great place for the birthday party, and my nieces and nephews to hangout. Marissa F.Oceanside, CA11/10/2011We live near Kidsville and go in about twice a month. We have had EXCELLENT experiences every time. We've been taking our boys 4 yrs and 2 yrs there since they opened. The staff and owners (Kelly & Amber) are extremely friendly and very attentive. We recently had our sons 2nd Bday party there 10/29 and it was a huge success. We packed in 24 kids and 25 adults. Buzz Lightyear (Kidsville staff) and another young man helped decorate the party room, gather up the kids to play games and eat pizza and cupcakes, and even loaded my mini van up with all the bday presents he received. I would recommend having a Bday party at Kidsville to all parents, its affordable and fun for all. Not to mention VERY CLEAN and tidy. Throughout the 2 1/2 hour Bday party, we saw staff combing the place picking up toys, disinfecting them and putting them back in there original areas. It made all the moms and dads I'd invited feel really comfortable. KIDSVILLE RECEIVES 5 STARS in my review and I'm sure the 25 parents that joined us for my sons Bday party will agree. Keep up the great works girls, we will be back as always!Donna K.Carlsbad, CA12/6/2011My daughter and her friends had a blast celebrating my daughters birthday at Kidsville! It was SO MUCH FUN! My daughter picked an Ariel theme for the room we reserved and every inch of the room was decorated with the cutest Ariel decorations! We also paid to have Ariel attend the party. She was such a hit with the kids! She entertained the kids with a scavenger hunt and played hide and seek and helped me out tremendously with all of the party details. She was so great!!! The pizza Kidsville provided arrived on time and was delicious. And the kids had a blast dressing up in kidsville's princess dresses and playing all over the play-town! My daughter's birthday was a huge success! (Loved every single thing about it!!) Thank you for a very memorable and fun birthday party Kidsville! Hope to do it all again next year!
